About the event
The William Ferris Chorale has called Chicago home for over 50 years. Chicagoans – in a city famous for its parks and lakefront – know what it means for the city and nature to collide.
In an exciting collaboration with percussion collaborative beyond this point, join WFC for the premiere of a new commission by American composer Robert Maggio exploring what it means to live in a city and embrace nature.
Through the eyes of Daniel Burnham’s Plan for Chicago, we seek to find ways to connect with the natural world and embrace our urban life. Pelle Gudmenson-Holmgreen’s Three Stages and Joel Puckett’s I Enter the Earth are shared with audiences as parallels, exploring these connections in captivating ways.
